Disney's Heroes
Introduction
I was thinking what really makes Super Saturday special, I look at the superheroes, films and so on. But, I was looking around and saw some Disney stuff in my room. So, that got me thinking, aren't some Disney characters super heroes or heroes? What makes the super part in Superheroes is it they have super powers. Or, maybe we shall look at the whole Superheroes in a new light. Maybe, Superheroes because they over come great odds. I know the first heroes I look at truly do have super powers. But, it more than that.
The Incredibles
Well, as you know these are The Incredibles. You have Mr. Incredible with super strength, Miss. Incredible or as the older guys know her as Elaster Girl! Who can bend and fold her body into incredible shapes and sizes....She's basically the perfect woman who won't think she's too skinny or fat. Then, we have the children! Dash. Not very creative with the name but Dash has super quick agility, Violet can go invisible and even use force fields/ And, then there's Jack-Jack who basically can morph to being on fire, being a liquid, changing shapes/sizes/species. We don't really know much about Jack-Jack but I know there in works for The Incredibles 2 which I hope we get to know Jack-Jack super powers more. But, I think we have to see why they are Disney Heroes? I think, not only they have awesome super powers but there like Superman. They live an average day life or try to anyway and we can see that they have overcome being a family with super powers. All being very different to there own, they portray a huge individuality in the family but also how modern families act, like Violet with a crush, Dash doing pranks in school, Jack-Jack being a baby, Miss. Incredible doing the cleaning, the washing and the cooking and finally Ben Parr (Mr. Incredible) going to work, a boring day at the office. So, all together we have the general idea of a very normal average family with a twist of maintaining that appearance and then closed doors having these amazing super powers.
Flik from the Bug's Life
I think no one really knows Flik as a Disney Hero but hear me out. Flik overcomes that size doesn't matter and that if you ask for help in the unlikeliest of places, help will come knocking on the door. I think Flik also portrays that being an individual with you're ideas and you're dreams that you can get there with hard work, planning and the odd improvisation doesn't hurt. But, Flik really shows that you don't have to be as small as an ant. If you have enough of you, you can over come any battle, boundary or idea that you need to over come. Flik also portrays the whole anything is possible and uses a interesting method of.... 'it's a rock okay'....it's one of those from looking at a door, you see a door. But, to someone else it can be a raft, a shield or a bed base. So, I think Flik is one of the Disney Heroes because he doesn't deny any possiblities and make sure he has a plan even thou he breaks under pressure. But, thought out his journey we see him break out of nervousness and breaks into courage and confidence through experience.
Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas
I know this is an odd choice, but since it's close to Halloween I thought I bring in quite a know Disney hero in this time of year. Jack Skellington. I think this guy has a great place on the Disney Hero because he follows something risky, something different, something that makes him happy. And, even thou the town people follow the Pumpkin King, we can discover that this could be an issue in some situations. We could argue, that Jack Skellington really shows his individuality and he researches as well, when he is discovering the meaning of Christmas. So, that being said I would say Jack Skellington being the Pumpkin King has a great sense of creativity, intelligence, researching, planning, strength he has all the fundamentals of experimenting and conjuring the latest greatest experience. I feel he is an ideal Disney Hero simply because when he feels something unique he wants others to feel the same experience. So, Jack Skellington in a nut shell wants to portrays different styles of happiness to people in a completely different light.Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story
I know they are hugely popular in the Disney Universe, but Buzz Lightyear and Woody deserve to be on Disney's Heroes and here's why. Woody, being confident, slightly cocky, brave, intelligent, a great sense of humour shows that you can over come a problem through being yourself and having friends to guide you. Whilst, Buzz Lightyear is similar he has a greater sense of humour, yeah, sometimes he is slower than Woody. But, overall they both have heart, they wouldn't want to see someone (or a toy) being in pain, locked up, or abandoned even if that toy turns out to be a strawberry scented teddy bear. And, even in the darkest of time, they have friendship which is the true hero in this blog. Friendship in itself shows that you are there for someone when they need you, you'll lend a soft ear. And, in fact that is Toy Story on there adventures. We have seen them care and listen to the most absurdest, annoying, strange and frankly weird toys and yet they are still who they are from what they have accomplished.
Elsa from Frozen
I think this is a great example of a true Disney Hero. Elsa shows that even thou you have this 'thing' that you don't want to show and sometimes it's hard to control if you just let it go, you'll feel happier and more you. I think that if you have something your hiding better let it out and be your true self then being something you're not. Which I think is what Elsa really portrays everybody to be. To be that person that you are and not the person you want everybody to be and that for kids and adults to watch is truly how you should live your life.
Merida from Brave
This is another Disney hero that I think is quite under rated even thou she is a new princess in the Disney world, she should be more of her. Merida believes in being the opposite of what a certain someone wants from her. But, Merida wants to be this arrow shooting, free spirited person that for some reason that someone doesn't want her to be me. We know Merida can be quite blunt at times but she really has the best of heart I think. She might be a child and so on and so forth but deep down we all know that she follows her heart even thou that could lead to mistakes. But, I think Disney in general try to portray that making mistakes is okay as long as you learn from them. And, believe you me Merida learns her lesson.
Tiana from Princess and the Frog
I love Tiana simply because she really shows that hard working, being who you are, not taking the short cuts is the way to live the life you want. Might be harder than you think but you'll be almost there if you have that positive smile and jive that Tiana has. Plus, I think Tiana is like a kinder character then the other Disney characters. With the incredible jazzy, funky, boogeying music you really get the sense of true passion from Tiana from what she wants, what she wants is what she gets, but only if she works hard for it. Which is why I think Tiana deserves to be a Disney Hero because I think she works the hardest out of all the Disney female characters hands down.
EVE from Wall-E
This Disney Hero thinks hard on her feet, she maybe mechanical but she really understand human emotion. Eve can be that curious one at times but I picked her for the Disney Hero because if you haven't seen the film yet I won't say why. But, the ending of the film really shows that you'll do anything for friendship, love and determination to get that somebody you grow to love, care about and so on. EVE is truly one in a million by WALLIE's eyes but we can say that EVE wants what's best in interest and will have fun with friends and be there for someone when the time is come. Disney been quite clever showing the love interest in a different way because it shows that if someone likes you, and in a few years you like them back but they change you can help them by showing him the times you use to have.What's The Bottom Line?
