What's The Bottom Line About Time?

Time

Introduction

When we talk about time, we do have a generally understanding that time itself is like having you're toast in the morning. Time is our daily routine, it's normal and it's always as far as we understand is moving forward. This blog is actually looking at the concept of time and having a few questions that might let you the reader stop and think for a second.

What Does Time Mean?

Time is a measure in which events can be ordered from the past through the present into the future, and also the measure of durations of events and the intervals between them. Time is often referred to as the fourth dimension, the first three dimensions being the spatial dimensions. This was a general definition, which to what degree do we agree with... Yes, time will be taken through the past, present and leading into the future. Time can measure the durations of events and the intervals between them, so a simple event would be how long it would take to have you're meal. But, that then leads into when you have you're meal? This leads into the next question which will get you're brains thinking is time relevant....Not only to you, but in general.

Is Time Relevant?

To a Lucy (2014) reference which made me start debating is time relevant to us in general. In the film Lucy, there was a reference that when a car accelerates to the point that the car is going so fast it disappears. What does this mean? That matter itself is irrelevant, when we are thinking of numbers, letters, all the things we establish even the very essence of our languages, routines it doesn't matter because as something accelerates eventually it will turn into nothing. So, what makes time so relevant? Here's where the mind blowing part gets in. Everyone has a routine which at some point whether you know it or not, your conditioned to follow time....it's hard not too! You don't believe me? Think of it this way, through school, high school, college and even university and your jobs you have a time schedule to follow. We are conditioned from early stages of our lives to have breakfast in the morning, lunch around noon, dinner in the evening and some people have supper at night. People reading this would just think, well yeah duhh that's just normal from sun coming up to sun going down. But, if we didn't understand when these meals were suppose to happen we would be confused, frustrated and even worried because time keeps society itself in balance of a routine. Some people have even tried breaking there conditional coding in there brains, I wear odd socks simply because when you break that conditioning of having a pair on every day you're not yourself. However, a fantastic example of breaking you're conditioning is when you were at school for a certain lesson you sit where you were placed, then later on when that seating plan breaks you still sit around that area because it's familiar. But, here's when the breaking starts it's simply sit wherever go completely opposite because here is when you start breaking down you're behaviour conditioning and start following you're own way. Yes, society does shun this because we have routines, laws and it would be dangerous to follow a different routine because it's very difference is what scares people. Therefore, time is relevant for our conditioning, routines but above all the balance of human life itself.

When We Debate What Matters, Does Time Always Come On Top?

It truly depends on the person's perspective of life. Some people wear watches because they like to have a grasp of always being on time, and trying to savour the day as it was. When we have this idea of who comes out on top I have in one corner Father Time (time) vs The Grim Reaper (death) vs God Almighty (aka religion) vs Mother Nature (nature) vs The 'Red Monster' Devil (7 deadly sins) and finally vs The Universe Man (everything that starts to finish e.g The Big Bang). So, 6 man, all for all. Starters, Mother Nature and The Red Monster Devil would be out first only because of the idea of mother nature moving forward along side the universe, death and time and the Devil is all speculation we haven't had hard evidence unless you watch South Park. Same, for God really we haven't had any hard evidence it's one of those things that can never be proven. The Devil and God have been around for so long we have that many stories of them who knows what's accurate. For example, God....Egyptians believe there's more than one, is God male or female? We just don't know it's that straight forward and yet God and the Devil are used a lot for comedy value so if something so almighty, all knowing is made fun of wouldn't we understand them more? So, who's left? Father Time, Grim Reaper and The Universe Man. Triple threat....who will win? Well, Grim Reaper has been around since Father Time when a comet or the big bang happened we had death of the universe, death of humanity and the next ice age off course. But, let's just take this into a theory, the Grim Reaper is death itself but who says it stops there? Going back to religion, there's theories that when we die we reincarnate, go into another world, reborn as someone else, or if you had a few pros in you're life you will reincarnate into a better life. So, that taken into consideration....we don't really know does death stop at death or does it re-evaluate itself. Therefore, death is itself is a myth we have all experienced it in some way through films, media, own experiences with loss of family members but we are unsure what happens. So, it's down to two people Universe Man vs Father Time. Now, this is very much own opinion....but for the universe to occur we have the theory that God created the universe in 7 days but let's be theoretical when we say, what if God didn't? For the universe to actually start wouldn't you think God would created a calendar hence why we know he made it in 7 days? Even when the beginning of the whole universe itself we know he made it in 7 days through the Bible. This brings me to my next question, how do we know this? Because of a book? Or, because God intended to start the generation of what we class as times, months, years, days without even thinking. Therefore, we could argue that the Universe Man would win because that's the start of the start. But, am sticking with my guns in saying that Father Time wins because it's the most plausible of the two. Father Time started at the very beginning even when God was created or an unknown being, but far from religion time is always moving forward and it does actually end.... Time ends when we finish a programme but then leads into another event, for example Eastenders is 30 minutes, so tick toc through that time re-loops into something else. So, Father Time wins because the concept is universal and can be into any events from death to weddings to programmes to meals. This could go on and on that Universe Man itself is everything, but I am sure Universe Man wears a watch? Contradict much?

Is Time Immortal?

That leads into what I just said, with programmes and events they eventually end, but somehow it finds a loophole, time can be crafty, can be a theft, can be our savour. We have always been trying to understand how time works. Some people take it for granted, some take it as an opportunity to make the most of it. But, time itself personally will always find a way to revamp itself into any situation that is past, present and future. We will always have time when we are looking into the past history how accurate time can be is determined by how much we understand. This leads to my last question. Is time already dead? Has time revamped itself from the roman numerals of XVI or V comes to my past point of numbers and letters being irrelevant. So, is time itself dead and we just have these watches, times and routines of keeping the illusion of everything itself is chaos, and the illusion is following time and routine before we release that time is inexistence.

So, What's The Bottom Line?

If you got to the end and I didn't bore you! Let's go to the bottom line! Time itself when you look at you're phones, computers, televisions, watches, workplace, restaurants, cafes, airports and the internet time is everywhere. We can't escape to it, so make sure you live as much as possible within the time you have. Because, deep down all my waffling and ramblings could be nothing. But, what if time itself is an illusion and that's the bottom line. Time is our illusion of balance.

What's The Bottom Line with American Horror Story?

American Horror Story (2011-)

Introduction

Let me tell you a story, well not just one story, a couple of stories that made me open my mind on the actual concept of horror and entertainment. This is American Horror Story and listen to there stories. I am going to talk about each season so far, and what we are to be expecting later on. And, there's a really interesting theory that they are all connected? I have seen this at first glance, and understand how and where the American Horror Story is lined up, but what does it mean? Listen, look and explore into this TV series because you might not come out the same, as you went in.

First Impressions Before Seeing The First Series?

Before I go into American Horror Story, I do like to point out I've been put off by it since it came out. And, here's why! I don't like TV shows looking into horror. I feel as a viewer and as a entertaining performer that Horror should stick with movies only because that's how I was brought up. I dunno why, but the closest before American Horror Story of having captured the horror I like was Goosebumps.....and that's for kids. SO, maybe that's why. BUT, what does American Horror Story mean? I had no idea they did more seasons one of my friends recommend me to watch it because I'll love it. BUT, at that time I was watching Breaking Bad....so there's my reason and then Game of Thrones and I was at University. SO, last year in September I started Freakshow....and I was blown away by the level of actors, mainly Kathy Bates. Kathy Bates is an amazing role model and the first episode I WAS HOOKED! But, I needed to see the first season. Didn't do any research and am glad I didn't.

After I Watched The First Season Murder House?

Honestly, after I watched Murder House I went straight to Season 2 it was so good. I was thinking like "Oh, this isn't going to happen" or "Oh, that's too clear what's going to happen". But, it wasn't like that at all. You can never guess really what truly happens in this season. The ending to the season was spot on, the actors are brilliant! I have a little tiny place in my heart for this season because so far it's the more realistic.....And, what I mean by that is that they took a normal looking family and turned them into what we see in the end. And, that's no where near a spoiler, we see unusual characters like a maid that has like two completely different looks, which confuses us and wonders and always let us wonder. But, we have to admit that this Season was all about the "Wait, what?!? Who?!?!"and then it hits you with the "OMG! THAT HAPPENED". It really surprises you, and the maid is like a dot of all the complicated lives this family has to go through.

What About Season 2 Asylum? Was It Similar To Murder House?!?

Season 2 before I was going in, I actually had to remember that an Asylum could go two ways, written beautifully and not pushing the boundaries to far it makes people uncomfortable. But, the other way they write it insensitive to the matter of what really happened in Asylums especially in a religious environment. I think.....they written this season beautifully, they had so much going on you can keep up with it and you'll fall in love with it. It wasn't similar to Murder House at all, we had the similar cast! BUT, the twist and turns were still there and kept you guessing and wondering which for me as a viewer is what you want. You don't want Marvel Agent of Shields and get bored of Season 2...wait that happened! You want a Season completely different!!! We have a doctor, a superior nun, a nun, and then a bunch of patients that have been admitted into the Asylum. But, I think the best part of Asylum was combining different stories together and seeing different scenarios. HOWEVER, the ending was truly the best... I had to have a good hour to settle in what happened because it was perfect. And, I felt they hit the level of appropriate attitude to an Asylum with having quite accurate circumstances and knowledge to what and how an Asylum would be run. I felt I was in Shawshank Redemption ran by several devils because there is in this season. All I'll say is, everyone's a suspect, which when in Asylum you can see that! But, watch it and you'll see why.... I felt there was only a couple of what I would define 'normal' people that we would address as normal. Then, when it finished I believed there's no such thing as normal it's just a drug we have to admit when we feel we need to accept ourselves in a community....which leads me to my next season.

There's Season 3 called Coven, How Was That? Is It Still Interesting?

Am really disappointed that I can't tell you how I thought about the ending, because I haven't seen it. HOWEVER, I have seen half of the season....and.... it's still kept with that level of brilliance and it's still interesting. I mean, it's the first appearance of Kathy Bates, we see Emma Roberts, and off course the more well known American Horror Story actors/actresses. But, what is a Coven? Most people don't really understand what they are. And, I love the fact Season 3 is utterly and completely different to the other seasons because when you think about it that's a challenge in it's own rights. You have to think, they have to write a completely new season with new angles, new twist and turns, new lovers! I mean, yes and no to the lovers because of what I've seen in Season 3 BUT Season 4 explains better what I mean. This is mostly about witches and also slaves around in another time period...how's that linked you'll find out. But, I love the concept of how magic is in this season. I love the level of knowledge the writers go into and the fact we don't see "magical colours" it's keeping with the whole horror concept.

My Favourite Season 4 Freakshow.....Do They Still Shock Us? Surprise Us And, More Importantly Entertain Us?

I love Freakshows in general because it goes away from what we as a community confirms as the 'norm' but I was expecting clowns, firebreathers and the level of knowledge of what is generally in a Freakshow the writers got in spot on. We see the strong man, claw boy, bearded lady, pinheads, all sorts of different characters and the typical 'ringmaster' is very different from what we class. But, is there a clown? Well, yes and no you'll have to wait and see. However, I feel this Season has surprised me the most because of the characters that come to the freakshow and what stories unfold at the freakshow too. It's entertaining and thrilling but I do and don't see the concept of horror....I feel more involved in this Season then the others because it's more entertaining for me as a viewer because of something....I have seen before but not behind the scenes.

What Else Could American Horror Story Do? How Far Can It Go?

You know what, I don't even know anymore what to expect! But, I saw this on a google image and off course it's appearing like a harvest farm....and there's been those urban legends of Scarecrows being alive.....So, could be something around that area! However, you're probably thinking aliens? Maybe, but one of the seasons look into that concept...but apparently all the seasons are connected in some way. But, let's go back to the idea of what we could see next? Well, farmhouse and a living scarecrow would be great. Ermm, we have had witches, freakshows, an asylum and off course a haunted house. Without doing any research but from my own brain....MAYBE....a toy shop. Now, you're probably thinking what's scary about that? There's puppets, could be a vintage toy shop. So, we could see some form of possession from puppets being one element, could have toys being alive and depending on the brand depends on how the toy reacts. For example, if you know the Puppet Master series it's possible, Child's Play comedy right up the way of American Horror Story. Another, which I don't think many people might think about is, classic horror characters. We could see the mermaids in a different way, maybe there all on an island? That's an idea, maybe an isolated island with different kinds of mythical creatures (off course thriller and horror related) and the gag is that it's a TV reality show. I just feel American Horror Story, the writing and script is there and I can see it going for 10 seasons! They think of different things, different environments and characters every time.

Facts About The TV Series?

  1. On September 2nd, 2014, Ryan Murphy (co-creator) announced that "All the seasons are connected to each other in somehow, someway."
  2. Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe and Evan Peters are the only actors who appear in all four seasons.
  3. Emma Roberts and Evan  who have each played major roles in multiple seasons of American Horror Story, share more than just a professional relationship. They began dating in 2012, and on January 6th, 2014, it was officially confirmed by 'People Magazine [us]' that the couple had gotten engaged over the holidays. No specific plans regarding the wedding or when it may take place have been released.
  4. Actor Ben Wolf who plays meep in season 4 also appeared as the Infintata in season 1.
  5. Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange previously starred together in Bonneville.
  6. Within the season "Freak Show", the character Twisty the Clown was disliked by the National Clown Association of America for his inaccurate portrayal of clowns, and because he gave clowns a bad reputation.
  7. Jessica Lange originally turned down the role of Constance in season 1, but finally accepted after creator Ryan Murphy repeatedly offered her the role.
  8. Evan Peters plays Jimmy Darling in AHS: Freakshow. His character is based off the real life lobster boy.
  9. In season 4 (Freak Show), characters sing songs that were released after 1952 (the time period in which Freak a show takes place). Most of the fans thought it was stupid and uncalled for, but there is a deep and unique reason to this idea. Ryan Murphy has said in an interview that he picked songs that were made by artists who were known as or called themselves freaks. For example: David Bowie, Lana Del Rey, Nirvana, etc.
  10. The 'murder house' featured in the series is in fact called Rosenheim Mansion. It was also used as the Frat House location on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)'s Halloween special "Fear, Itself", in which the characters fears manifest themselves.

Is There A Link To All These Series?!?

In a word......YES!. All the seasons are connected and Freakshow actually opened up how they are all connected with two characters. But, why?!?! We don't know this for sure but Ryan Murphy did say that they are all connected and that Freakshow is the beginning of showing us how they are all connected. If you want to know clues? One of these clues is the scene where the character Maggie (Emma Roberts) is handed a coffee cup and there is a close up on a top hat, which the show creator confirmed is actually a clue for Season 5. Start your guessing now because honestly, no one can guess accurately how they are all connected and there's apparently a reason why the cast are the same! We don't want to say how they are connected because of the fact we don't know where the fans are at with the seasons. We are half way through Coven but understand the fantastic concept, but we are up to date with Freakshow. All we can say in That's The Bottom Line is pay close attention.

My Rankings

In all seriousness, we will be giving this a 9 out of 10, season 1 is remarkable it sets up the rest of the seasons, season 3 coven it's brilliant so far and here we are looking forward to the ending. Freakshow is just beautiful, historically accurate and off course the thriller, horror and drama is so entertaining and hypnotic that you do forget you're watching a horror spectacular but a fantastic piece of acting. The main reason it's not 10 out of 10, is one of the episodes in Season 2 Asylum, I have to admit I love Asylum, but one or two episodes just dragged out and that's the main reason.

So, What's The Bottom Line?

So, what's the bottom line? Honestly, if you haven't seen it we can actually understand why. Even, we felt a bit unsure about the series because it's something completely different that we haven't experienced for years as horror fans! So, bottom line is if you love your horrors or thrillers and you're not sure on the blood and gore this is perfect for you. The gore and blood factor is so minimal that the actually entertaining part is the characters.

What's The Bottom Line presents Our Top 10 Actors For Ideal Film Characters?

Our Top 10 Actors For Famous Film Characters

Introduction

This blog is all about our ideal actors that would play our favourite characters.....We have some iconic films and films that haven't been around too long. But, each film and actor will be justified into why they would be perfect for this role. Plus, we even look at animated films considering we seen live action Disney films from classic animation like Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and this year Pan from Peter Pan, here at That's The Bottom Line! will present 10 actors that we feel would be perfect for the role, if they did remakes or sequels to the franchises enjoy!
1) David Tennant for the role as Doctor Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs
The main reason That's The Bottom Line feels David Tennant would play a brilliant Doctor Hannibal Lecter is because of David Tenannt's track record....He played a crazy wizard in Harry Potter Prisoner of  Azkaban, so we have already seen a level of insanity from the actor with that movement with his tongue.....We seen David Tennant take on one of the most world wide role of The Doctor in Doctor Who and shows that level of energy. I think, That's The Bottom Line feels strongly for David Tennant because he can bring something that Anthony Hopkins can't do, and the fact that we don't want to see the same thing that Anthony Hopkins did for his portrayt of the Hannibal Lecter. David Tennant would make the character different, depending on the script and the look of the character. And, the aging, David Tennant is younger than Anthony Hopkins when he did The Silence of the Lambs, so this could actually be a remake of the film in today's society. Therefore, see David Tennant in a simple holding cell or a maximum prison but as you read the blog we picked what we feel as the new Clarice Starling and you will be surprised.

2) Stephen Arnell for the role as He-Man from He-Man Masters of the Universe
I have heard on the film routlette that they are thinking of doing another He-Man film....Now, what I thought of the old film is they got the characters cheesy, the characters look spot on.....But, why not change it a little bit? Let's have Stephen Arnell who is quite known for the character of Arrow in the television series of Arrow and not go with the long blond hair? Maybe, He-Man gets banished, or abandoned in a lost jungle? And, am sure Stephen Arnell can wear a blond wig! The character of He-Man is muscular, brave, some wisdom and energetic and Stephen Arnell in a nut shell is that. Plus, with it being 2015! we don't really like cheesy films as much as we did. He-Man I can see it being darker because that's what the public likes, so we could see a darker version of He-Man that we aren't use to seeing. I mean, there doing it for Fantastic Four!

3) Hugo Weaving for the role as Jack Torrance from The Shining
This is a hit and miss situation, we feel that Hugo Weaving since he has now finished Lord of the Rings finishing on The Hobbit what is there to do? Why not, see Hugo Weaving become one of the most unique horror characters and do a remake of the classic horror film The Shining? Why did we pick Hugo Weaving? Well, we have seen him do Captain America playing The Red Skull, Agent Smith in The Matrix, V from V for Vendetta and what do they all have in common? They are all completely different characters. We feel here at That's The Bottom Line that Hugo Weaving can show us that development of a sane, normal writer and becoming slowly insane and we can see those transitions beautifully, if written correctly, better special effects and maybe from the book have a twist involved at the end.....Yes, it's a remake we have to change the ending. How would we?!?! Could do it a number of ways but Hugo Weaving is an actor one day, will have that one film everyone will remember him for as the lead role and we feel it's this.
4) Kate Mara for the role as Harley Quinn from The Batman Series
If you haven't seen American Horror Story then you wouldn't understand why we picked Kate Mara for Harley Quinn. Now, Harley Quinn use to be a doctor and having a psychological evaluation for The Joker, he got in her head and what do you know Harley Quinn is born! But, it doesn't mean we never see her in films! Could be she was fascinated by The Joker when he was terrorizing the streets and Batman and became an obsession. But, why Kate Mara? Starters the look she has as an actress from American Horror Story and I think House of Cards, we can see that transition into from a 'normal' person to Harley Quinn.....we can see her go completely crazy and have fun being crazy. And, let's be honest Kate Mara saying "Mister. J!" would be awesome! AND, if not Harley Quinn my next role would be Poison Ivy....because she looks the part to be in a Batman film and not being that God awful Batman film we want to forget of Batman and Robin. Personally That's The Bottom Line, believes Kate Mara could be a fantastic Batman villain either Harley Quinn or Posion Ivy if given the shot.

5) Emma Stone for the role as Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Now, That's The Bottom Line mentioned live action Disney films like Maleficent, why not seeing our beloved Beauty and the Beast come to live again? But, maybe called 'Belle' or 'Prince Adam' (the beasts name) something similar to go off the Maleficent style....be interesting seeing Prince Adam's story from start to finish similar to Maleficent. But, back to Emma Stone! Compare the pictures, I mean Emma Stone would be a perfect Belle, the look, she's played intelligent characters before in like 'The Help', she could really pull it off.....But, can she sing? Well, in the film 'The House Bunny' she sung a single for the cover of the film and she's been in Cabaret as well. So, she has the history of playing a singing, intelligent, open minded Belle and with the right directing and writing like Maleficent, we feel that it would be a smash hit in the box office.
6) Emma Watson for the role as Clarice Starling from The Silence of the Lambs
Surprise! Emma Watson for the role as Clarice Starling? Would be interesting to see, from the above point it would of been the younger stages of Hannibal Lecter if it was done in today's society. So, Clarice Starling could of been a new officer in the force and is a prison guard for the Hannibal Lecter? Be interesting seeing them two slowly communicating and Hannibal Lecter (who we picked as David Tennant) getting inside the head of Clarice Starling. Remember, we never said that it would be a sequel but a remake....Hannibal Lecter is based on a book, so really with the right copyrights could make the film anything with the authors permission. Personally, we seen Emma Watson in Harry Potter as Hermine Granger and one of her traits is being intelligent and a detective...We seen her in Ballet Shoes and Noah but not seen her doing something as a main role....Harry Potter is as close as a main role we have seen....So, seeing her take a completely different angle would be fantastic, and she does have the skill and patience to really embody who is Clarice Starling.

7) Scarlett Johansson for the role as Tinkerbell from Peter Pan
Just notice doing a lot of Disney related roles, but again Disney live action films. We have seen a few Tinkerbell films on her own in Animation.....But, could Tinkerbell go darker??? I think it would be interesting seeing Tinkerbell a bit more independent in a separate film. Again, name would be "Tink" in one film she wore like a adventurer outfit, so taking that into consideration we thought of a film where "Tink" had to save Pan from numerous enemies, we need it dark and yet entertaining like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. If we got Tim Burton on board to direct "Tink" the right level of who is Tink would be fantastic, and the fact Scarlett Johansson can kick butt! And, she's been in films like Lucy, Transcendence, Avengers Assemble and she's signed to do Ghost in the Shell. Personally, we think she needs something to stand out completely from her acting career.....a live Disney film comes to mind. Plus, she looks like a dark Tinkerbell....forget the bright blonde hair, tight bright green dress and white slippers....Tink could of been different before finding Peter Pan....maybe that could be the film? The early and yet later stages of Tink's life? Would of been interesting to see.....
8) Benedict Cumberbatch for the role as Matt Murdock from Daredevil
Now, there has been works on the Netflix Daredevil, which hasn't yet previewed in the UK yet....But, this got me thinking if they did a Daredevil film again (and this time did it right!) who would play Matt Murdock? After about a whole hour...there's one guy that could in fact give the role some justice.....Benedict Cumberbatch who played Sherlock in the TV series, announced for Doctor Stranger in the Doctor Strange film in 2016.... So, considering he is in Doctor Strange be unusual to ever see him play Daredevil....But, Chris Evans was Human Torch in Fantastic Four and now is Captain American in Avengers so anything could happen. But, picked Benedict Cumberbatch because Daredevil does need to know his whereabouts, need some form of looking like a normal human being then Ben Affleck (who's the next Batman now). However, Benedict Cumberbatch if the script was more interesting, the suit more darker as we now expect in the Marvel industries...I think Daredevil could've been the next stand alone Marvel film that's not linked to Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy etc;
9) Kevin Spacey as Mr. Freeze from Batman
Let's go back to that awful film Batman and Robin....Where Arnold Schwarzenegger truly got 'into character' and played Mr. Freeze....Now, that awful memory has happened who would play a brilliant Mr. Freeze? Now, remember Mr. Freeze is suppose to be a doctor....he knows stuff and that's what I feel they missed out on Batman and Robin...we didn't have a sense of intelligence, just a big ice gun and a huge suit and penguin slippers....yes that happened! Kevin Spacey however might bring some final justice to the character Mr. Freeze....why Kevin Spacey?!?!! Considering, the batman films are truly dark we need someone who won't make Mr. Freeze a comical character, we need to move forward. Kevin Spacey is truly one of those actors where whatever you see him in, House of Cards, Ameircan Beauty and even Horrible Bosses he brings his characters to live. Mr. Freeze has these characteristics for Kevin Spacey can access.....Mr.Freeze has a sense of politics and intelligence whilst finding a cure for his wife. And, the aging for Kevin Spacey would be interesting and seeing him as a dark Mr. Freeze in a trailer would catch our eye because he hasn't been in a major film since (excluding Horrible Bosses 2 wasn't a main role) 2010/2011! We feel Kevin Spacey could really bring Batman franchise to the next level of Batman villains.
10) Dakota Fanning as Coraline Jones from Coraline
Wasn't rated very highly, so why even considering Coraline into a live action film? Because, Tim Burton truly made Coraline stand out in a film, and if it was live action like the films mentioned above it would of been easily 9 or 10 out of 10. Coraline, was a strong minded, independent and curious girl who basically had conflict with her parents. Then, in this house there was this portal to another world similar to Alice in Wonderland. So, who could play this blue haired, yellow coat wearing and cat talking Coraline? Dakota Fanning! Just, change the hair to blue for a second and personally you can see her.... We seen Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds, even Coraline! So, if they did do a live action packed film she would get the role anyway!!! She's been in live action films before but one that draws the attention is The Cat in the Hat and Twilight. The Cat in the Hat because it's aimed at kids but Twilight has that dark element and she did play such a dark character that combining the two, making this into a live action film would be brilliant to see Dakota Fanning from animation to our cinema screens would be visually striking and awe inspiring to watch.

So, what's the bottom line?

When we consider our favourite actors to play such iconic or under-rated film characters, it comes down to that it's all opinions at the end of the day. This was purely for fun, and to slightly open the readers mind about film characters and the fact that your most beloved characters might've not been first choice. For example, Jack Torrance from the Shining played by Jack Nicohlson wasn't first choice! Robin Williams was one of the first choices.....try and imagine that! Therefore, take this as a bottom line....nothing is set in stone....we see on the big screens what directors and casters feel we would love and appreciate in the films, sometimes they get it wrong....BUT, those moments where they get it right truly makes watching films more than entertaining for us and that's the bottom line.

What's The Bottom Line presents The Top 11 Most Anticipated Games of 2015

The Top 11 Most Anticipated Games of 2015

Introduction

I have had a look and done some research into what the public are anticipating the most this year to get gamers losing sanity and patience of the newest games to be expected. From Fable Legends to the newest Batman Arkham Knight. This blog will be looking at 11 top anticipating games this year! And, we here hope you enjoy what is yet to come.

Halo 5: Guardians

Halo fans are happy this year, as last year we had the Halo Collection, you could of got all the old and latest Halo games to play on your newest game console. But, this is completely new Halo 5: Guardians, the plot is peace is shattered when colony worlds are unexpectedly attacked. But when humanity’s greatest hero goes missing, a new Spartan is tasked with hunting the Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy. But, what will the players expect? Well, old and new enemies off course and maybe some new kind of weapons which we have to play to find out. Off course, it's multiplayer and probably have the same ranking system. But, I don't know anymore I don't want to spoil it for everyone but we will be expecting a first shooter experience we want to crave and enjoy.

Fable Legends

If you enjoyed the Fable games and our fans of the franchise you'll be wanting this game in 2015. Rediscover The Magic of Fable and return to Albion adventurer.  This is a single player game or play cooperatively with up to three friends! And, the fact that many others will agree, Fable Legends offers a way to play the good or bad guy but this time you can play purely the bad guy which has never been done in the Fable games. Plus, for XBOX One players you can use your SmartGlass app on your tablet or smartphone which you can track your game progress, get more information on Heroes, quests and other content....maybe even your income from stores.  Return to Albion, a picturesque land full of thrilling stories, exciting combat, and high adventure. It’s no surprise that millions of players have visited and adored the welcoming countryside of this once upon a time storyland. “Fable Legends” brings you to a place where history, myth, and folklore are practically the same thing. Of course you’ll also find monsters, villains, and even the occasional disaster, but you shouldn’t take it too seriously. Albion is a unique fantasy land where epic, tragic, and comedic stories all combine for a one of a kind experience. AND, this is a FREE ROAM game! Which let's be honest most gamers love to have control of what happens in a game.

Battlefield Hardline

Live out your cop and criminal fantasy in Battlefield Hardline. This action-packed blockbuster combines intense signature multiplayer moments of Battlefield franchise with an emotionally charged story and setting reminiscent of a modern television crime drama.
In a visceral single-player campaign you'll play the role of Nick Mendoza, a young detective who embarks on a cross-country vendetta seeking revenge against once trusted partners on the force.
In multiplayer you'll hunt criminals, raid vaults, and save hostages in new cop and criminal-inspired modes like Heist and Rescue. Welcome to your new playground. So, to us at That's The Bottom Line none of us have played the Battlefield Hardline but it sounds more like Grand Theft Auto meets Call of Duty. This game could be one of the most brilliantly made storyline and action packed shooting to see with some intelligence thrown in there OR it could be utterly rubbish. The weapons looks astonishing and realistic, it appears military and fictionally inspired gizmos and gadgets. AND, again it appears to be a free roam game aswell as you fly across the map in fast, fresh and intense vehicle gameplay with the mayhem of what a game should feel like.

The Elder Scrolls Online

If you don't know much about The Elder Scrolls Online it's suppose to be a massive multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) set in Tamriel, the ancient land that includes the provinces of Morrowind, Daggerfall, and off course Skyrim. The game is suppose to take place 1,000 years before the events of Skyrim.....interested? Well, this epic story will take a long time like most of the Elder Scroll games. It's open world again, but off course we are looking forward to the treasures, gold and weapons we will be having to destroy our foes.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege

I don't like this game that much, however I won't be biased to what the people are looking forward to. This game is inspired by counter-terrorist operatives across the world, Rainbow Six: Siege invites players to master the art of destruction! Lovely! Intense close-quarters confrontations, tactics and explosive action are at the centre of experience. What's new thou? Well, the sieges have a new style of assault in which your enemies can transform their environments into strongholds to prevent breaches and everything in your environment reacts with a realistic feel and dynamic dimensions.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

As we know in her first adventure, Lara Croft was forged into a true survivor, but she glimpsed a deeper, secret world. In the next chapter of her journey, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider. Rise of the Tomb Raider builds upon the formula that made Tomb Raider , and features the return of Camilla Luddington as Lara Croft. Luddington will take character performance to new heights as Lara pushes herself beyond human limits and is confronted with what it means to become a hero. Once again, Crystal Dynamics is proud to have the award-winning author Rhianna Pratchett as a key member of the writing team, helping craft a story that delves into Lara's inner turmoil and motivations in this critical second act of her journey. My only reason am not looking forward to this game is the basics of puzzles, however this sounds more stealth then detective to me. But, we will have to wait and see.... However, one thing for sure 2015 might be the year for the Tomb Raiders.

Tom Clancy's The Division

Apparently lots of gamers are looking forward to the Tom Clancy's games. The Division is a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, leading seemingly ordinary lives among us. Division agents are trained to operate independently in order to save society as we know it. When society falls....the mission begins. Sounds like Agents of Shield to me! Anyway, this is an online, open world, action RPG which is located in New York City. I haven't played a Tom Clancy game for about several years but I am looking forward to this game, not because it's open roam, but because it looks stunning and could be one of the best games out there this year.

Quantum Break

Developed exclusively for XBOX One (Sorry PS4 Players) , Quantum Break blurs the line between television and gameplay, integrating the two into one seamless, uniquely immersive experience. From Remedy Entertainment, the critically acclaimed creators of Alan Wake (which I didn't play BUT had great reviews) and Max Payne (again didn't play but knew some up and downs with the game, comes a revolutionary entertainment experience that weaves the cinematic action of intense gameplay with the tension and drama of scripted television, creating a world where each has a direct impact on the other. In Quantum Break, our desperate hero fights a highly personal battle to save the future before time literally runs out. As time breaks down, impossible, split-second moments of destruction turn into epic stages of time-powered action. The actions you take, and the choices you make, shape your experience as the narrative unfolds. As you play, a personalised 'director's cut' of the show is created just for you, based on the decisions you make during the game. Sounds interesting, sounds new and off course a great way to see the new year.

Star Wars Battlefront

Gamer fans who played this game in the 90s/2000s understand what coming this year will either be EPIC or utter rubbish. There is actually no information at all on this game, only a few pictures but nothing physically about the game. As we know from past games, it's a first person shooter, it's similar to Call of Duty, Gears of War and even Halo. But, considering we haven't had a Star Wars Battlefront game in sooo long! We could see all of those games combining to have such a brilliant game. In Star Wars Battlefront 2 you could've been a Jedi! And, you had missions to complete and etc; I can see they are going to do something similar to Star Wars Battlefront 2 because it was huge! But, I feel graphics and detail will be the level of stunning and powerful considering what game systems we have now. But, that's all I can say on the game because that's all there is so far!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

In all honesty, That's The Bottom Line hasn't played any of the Witcher's games but what I will be telling you now I will get this game, the day it comes out. The Witcher 3: Wild Huny is a open world role-playing game, already am there that's my kind of game. Your character is Geralt of Rivia (sounds something like Lord of the Rings), you area monster hunter and you embark on a epic journey in a world that will inevitably lead you to confront a foe darker than anything you have faced.
Evolve unique witcher skills to tailor gameplay to your liking; hunt bloodthirsty monsters and develop your signature fighting strategies; use potent battle magic; and slay your way to victory in a truly limitless open world. Stroll, swim, ride, and sail; embark on legendary quests and collect epic bounties. Take control: go anywhere, do anything! That's why am buying this game, the fact of magical abilities, you can go anywhere anything and control Geralt how you see fit. But, since I haven't played this game and it's not giving much to go on, will I get bored? I have played Shadows of Mordor which is open world and after all the missions after about a week I got bored of the game.....Grand Theft Auto different because you have different missions, characters and you earn money to buy places just generally relax or be intense with the game as you like. So, wait and see I am looking forward to it.

Batman: Arkham Knight

Sorry to say this.... but save the best to last! The Batman games City and Asylum I enjoy! Batman games got it spot on I feel. The open world experience, the characters you encounter that people will either know or don't know. Then, on top of that! You have the Batcave, gadgets, fighting style and the darkness that makes you believe it's not the 80s Batman TV Show but more the Batman we see from Christopher Bale era but much more darker. But, what does Arkham Knight promise us that the others don't? Why not, you can drive the Batmobile now! For me that's EPIC! I've always wanted to drive the Batmobile in the games, the only game that did was the Batman and Robin game. For the first time in the series, explore the entirety of Gotham City in a completely open and free-roaming game world, now this could be gliding around or in fact driving around. Off course, they have added more combat moves and high-tech gadgets but more than before. This includes....ready for this? Gadgets while gliding ability! Batarang someone while gliding yes please! But, as you know in Gotham City from past games, there will be chaos in the streets randomly, taking down villains or pursing the main story line. Which villains do we expect? Well, so far that has been announced are Harley Quinn, The Penguin, Two-Face, and the Riddler. But, the side missions usually have The Mad Hatter, Calendar Man etc all the lower villains that we wouldn't recognize as a main villain.

What's The Bottom Line?

So, what's the bottom line? Well, 2015 is truly a great year for gamers. We haven't seen any Gears of War, COD or Grand Theft Auto but these 11 games are the most anticipated from research and magazines. And, to be honest That's The Bottom Line loves all the games we have mentioned today. However, we will have to wait and see if these games will deliver on our expectations and that's the bottom line.
