What's The Bottom Line with Ray Worsnops' book Across The Pond Again?
Introduction
Ray Wornsop is a dear friend of mine, he is known as the Accidental Photographer, but there's more than meets the eye. I will be writing about this blog about his next successful book which is a sequel to Across The Pond You Hear, What I See called Across The Pond Again. And, I choose to write about this specific book and tell you what the book is about and exactly how I feel about the book because there's loads of books out there, but Across The Pond Again, will make you think and be pleased on reading it.
What's The Book About?
The book is about what we think, what we see when we look at someone, and how will all tend to judge a book by the cover. Ray has photographed people with unusual life story's and backgrounds. I then showed there picture on Facebook with a few clues about that person. Then people from all over the world have written poems about what they see in that face. For example, there is a perform from the army featured. He is just 20. When Ray put the photograph on Facebook, he had a poem about him in just a few minutes. The book, has none of the poems are more than 10 lines but a lot of them are based on personal and interactive experiences. The poetry, comes froma ll over the world and has written verses for this new book, we have different people from completely different backgrounds poetry in this book. Which, makes us wonder what we see, and what we know as human beings.
What Makes The First Book So Popular?
Ray Worsnop is planning to head back to Eureka Springs, where Ms Smith lives.....Who's Ms Smith you ask? Well, Mary Smith is a poet from America, over and they met over social media.The latest book has Ms Smith's involvement of different selection of portraits which are accompanied by verses written by amateur poets. But, what made this book interesting?Well, Ray Worsnop is heading back to Eureka Spring for a second signing of his book. The population of Eureka Spring is only about 3000 people, so when Ray got over there he is a huge deal!But, besides that, if I would have to pin point something..... I would say to all non-art lovers, art lovers, philosophers, and interesting open minded people, I notice a key theme with this book is that we can all connect to some or most of the poetry and that's what could make it a success.
Why Should You Read Across The Pond Again?
On the cover of the book, we see;
"We all have to face it?" At some time in our lives.Striking cover, with a powerful first few words of what the book is about. I think we should all get this book because it would open our minds to really what we see our world as. The themes involve to me, are visible to everyone, we experience, we notice, we adapt to the themes in this book. But, I personally feel as an artist, as a creator and as a visual person that this book can take you to places you only dream of experiencing. As you can see above Ray Worsnop's latest book is media and newspaper worthy, so surely, this Accidental Photographer will take us purposely to an accidental reality of what and how we see the world today. I am a lover of poetry and I feel this book will definitely be an eye opener for anyone at all. Even if you feel, you know how the world is, I feel this book could in fact change your life.
What's The Bottom Line?
And, I'll finish with this lovely phrase as my bottom line....to grasp you into the book....It's not what I been through in my life that deines who I am. It's how I got through it. That has made me the person I am today.
This phrase, is of each people in the book that have subscribed to the phrase.
