What's The Bottom Line presents Funky Facts

Introduction

I haven't done Funky Facts in ages so let me recap what it is. Funky Facts brings you the most random facts from films and celebrities to just normal every day events. I believe random facts are fantastic to entertain but even shock people and this week we do have some very random ones.

Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal Crazy Fact!

Anthony Hopkin's as we all know is Hannibal Lecter in the films Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. All together, he appeared on screen for 24 minutes in Hannibal and only 52 seconds in Silence of the Lambs. But, here is the crazy fact.....He won the Oscar for best actor in leading role for only appearing for almost 25 minutes in the films. But, Silence of the Lambs is also the only horror film to date that has only won an Oscar for Best Picture. No other horror films have this Oscar, only Silence of the Lambs. With, Jaws and The Exorcist being the only two other horror films to ever be nominated for Best Picture but never won. So, Anthony Hopkin's truly portrayed a psychologically disturbed 'man' shall we say. But, we can't deny those nearly 25 minutes of film time was tense and entertaining to watch. However, speaking of Anthony Hopkins...He gave advice to Jim Carrey for his character Ace Venture.

Darth Vader in New Hope

This is a very strange fact, in Star Wars: A New Hope Darth Vader only appears in the film for twelve minutes. You have to admit does feel much longer than that but it's true! But, I think I can even break you're mind more with this awesome fact. Jurassic Park.....The movie clocks up to around 127 minutes, dinosaurs can only be seen for 15 minutes of the entire film! That's roughly working the maths out, 12% of the runtime filled with dinosaurs......So much for Jurassic Park right?!?! But, speaking of Dinosaurs ever wondered what made the noises of the Dinosaurs?!?! Well, even thou it's a PG rating it's actually tortoises having sex! Yes, you read that correctly. Not even Tortoises get privacy any more.

Scream and Scary Movie Facts

This might be misleading, but the mask from Halloween was an inverted, white painted mask of James T. Kirk. But, the iconic mask from Scream finds its origin in the art work of what?!?!? The Scream! But, do you have any idea what was the working title for Scream?!?! It was Scary Movie! Quite ironic. However, you already seen that coming but did you know the words "Elm Street" in Nightmare on Elm Street are not even mentioned once throughout the entire film!

Mickey Mouse Fact!

As we all know, Walt Disney was the original Mickey Mouse voice, but Wayne Allwine took over, whilst Wayne Allwine took the voice over he fell in love and later married Russi Taylor. BUT, what's that got to do with Disney?!?!?! Well, Russi Taylor is actually Minnie Mouse! That's right Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were actually together in real life! You can't deny but that's an awesome Disney fact to know about.... Even thou, it's cheesy! Speaking of Walt Disney.....That's not his real name.....Walter Disney's original last name was D'lsiogny, showing his French roots. This is mainly the reason, why Walt Disney created Disneyland in Paris.

China Facts

Now, I have a couple of facts about China that might scary you....China is one of the suicide capitals of the world! This is a fact, they actually employ body fishers....which is basically people who are hired to drag dead bodies out of the rivers! You get paid for removing dead bodies.....I can't say anything for or against this. But, surely the person doing this mustn't be faced by anything gross because of the skin maybe rotting. Now, this fact took me a while to even think about it. It is illegal to be reincarnated in China unless you have permission from the Government. I do understand, that China have quite serious laws but surely in my personal view, reincarnation is a personal request.....Not, the governments business really.

Ridiculous Death Condition Facts

You know when someone says "Do you have a broken heart?" Well, studies actually show that you could DIE from having a broken heart. This is called Stress Cardiomyopathy, this has actually happened a number of times. I personally don't know when, but I assume around Valentine's day. But, a very weird one I came across which I can see how can acquire.....Heortophobia....This means you have a fear of Holidays....Only reason I would be scared of holidays if it was really short or nothing to do. But, I've never heard of it and I can actually see people having this if they aren't use to any form of holidays.

The Hunger Games Fact

The Hunger Games creators were actually contemplating using a CGI Philip Seymour Hoffman to finish the unfinished lines. Now, personally I would say no to this. Only because, how they ended the film Mockingjay Part 1...They give a little nod and reference to Philip Seymour Hoffman which would be more fitting to the actor than a CGI version. I mean, there's a huge discussion that CGI acting is wrong but as long as it's got meaning it's fine. They did it in Benidorm for Donald, and personally felt it was a nod to the actor and to his character without mentioning his death.

Johnny Depp Facts That Will Shock You

Now, Johnny Depp actually suffers from coulrophobia....this means he has a fear of clowns! Now, you would think considering he works with Tim Burton he wouldn't be scared of clowns.! But, maybe this is why we haven't seen Johnny Depp play as a clown. But, what do you think Johnny Depp collects?!?!? He collects a fake moustache collection and a gun collection! The gun collection shocked me the most because the only near references to guns and him I've seen is the Lone Ranger.

8 RANDOM FACTS!!!

  1. Did you ever wonder how much the world's most expensive nail polish is?!?!? It's actually a brand called Black Diamond King from Azature, it only costs $250,000 per bottle!
  2. Ever thought of putting boiled water in a microwave?!?! Well, DON'T because this can become superheated and explode!
  3. A duel between three people is called a truel, never seen a three people duel but at least now I know.
  4. "Bootylicious" and "bitch-slap" were both added to the dictionary in 2003, what is our language coming too!
  5. Putting vodka on your face reduces the chances of acne breakouts by tightening your pores, goodbye Avon.
  6. TOTALLY RANDOM, a grown man was playing on his Call of Duty game online, a child kept killing him several times. Personally, I would just forget the player and do another session. This bloke, hunted down and attacked the child that kept killing him! People sometimes take games to seriously!
  7. The sentence "Are you as bored as I am?" can be said backwards and still make sense....Mind blown
  8. People find alcohol sweeter in noisy environments. This drowns out our ability to judge how much we're actually drinking....Thank you University and Clubs!

What's The Bottom Line with Model GreenEyedGirl?

Model: GreenEyedGirl

Introduction

Hello fellow readers, today's issue of What's The Bottom Line is brining you a young model, that came into the posing to a camera in a very understanding situation and yet showing us that, if you want something that badly you have to work for it. But, who is GreenEyedGirl? I know her real name, but when it comes to photography does it matter of the name? OR, what's more important is how the model is portrayed in the photos that make the impression. So, this issue will be looking at her portfolio and why What's The Bottom Line decided to write about GreenEyedGirl and we hope you enjoy.

GreenEyedGirl's Portfolio

Introduction

This section will be looking at three pieces of photography work that GreenEyedGirl has accomplished in her life. People could argue that they are similar, however I have been studying them and learning them and trying to pick parts out of the image before yourself and I may throw in some psycho mumble jumble but honestly it's fact. So, let's crack on and start the viewing.

So, one on you're left you don't see GreenEyedGirl's face...Is that an issue? Off course it's not, not seeing the face lately in the model industry and even in the music industry done by Sia is becoming a huge hit. So, as we see in the picture, we see confidence, sexy, sassy but above all else awareness of you're body. Being in the performing arts industry, you do have to grasp what you're body can physically do because if you go beyond a certain point people will notice. But, no. GreenEyedGirl truly brings this picture to some hypnotic light shall we say. We can see that she is a strong independent woman from the pose and posture of the image. Plus, I personally love the colour contrast red and blacks have always worked well together, it's been in the checkers game, cards and even designed outfits these days. Red is the sexy, romantic and 'heat' of an emotion and then black could be argued as the BDSM, darkness, forbidden, conjuring colour....Well, techinically black isn't colour it's the abstract of light. But, you know what am trying to say. GreenEyedGirl hasn't just simply gone "ooo i'll wear this". She's thought what she feels comfortable in, what works well with her and understands how she poses and off course how she executes those poses which brings me to the next photograph.

Now, we are going to a different story. A completely different angle, this time we see her face so GreenEyedGirl isn't portraying the same old angles she's experimenting, being adventurous. But, above all else we have gone back to the red and black colour scheme. So, this part of the analyse will be purely on GreenEyeGirl's face. Let's start with the eyes, the eyes aren't shut out or to wide it's just ease. And, what I mean by 'ease' to us here at What's The Bottom Line simply means it's simple but beautiful in some context. Then, the hair is straight and edgy to show that ruthless personality. But, what we like at What's The Bottom Line is the shadowing....I know it seems ridiculous but you know the saying "Everyone is two face" we are saying that, everyone has a mask that we paint on. GreenEyedGirl's photo here shows us a second or three parts to her face that she wants to tell us. I would say thou, that GreenEyedGirl understands the colour scheme really well because she knows what works for her. As you see again, confident, strong and sexual being is portrayed into this photograph but what's to come may shock you.

Last portfolio image is slightly more spiritual we would say. As you can see it's a much more brighter photograph but again the same colour scheme. But, this time we are demonstrating the fact that GreenEyedGirl can portray to us something that most models can't message to the viewer. And, that's hope. That little look is all it takes and as she looks away you can clearly see there's that wanting to escape but can't feel to the image. This is pure personal feelings towards the image, most people will look at the image and go "nice" whilst some wouldn't look at the image. But, we are studying it. We have to understand that sometimes models pose for the fun of it or telling a story of this model. Because believe it or not GreenEyedGirl isn't her real name! But, she's telling this story through different images and what story comes out could be the same or hundreds of different story because that's how we the viewers read into images.

Why Did I Write About GreenEyedGirl?

There's actually a number of reasons why we chose to write about GreenEyedGirl. For starters, she has the background like singing, dancing, acting and off course modelling it's a very entertainment industry and when you think of entertainment we do think of acting, dancing and singing. But, we very rarely consider the modelling side that is a entertainment industry. But, her dreams is to be on Broadway or become a vet. Realistically, and we don't shatter or make dreams here on What's The Bottom Line but she can do both. Broadway with the background she has already purely for hobbies and the photography skills she has, she can surely make the West End in no time with hard work and dedication. Then, we have the vet side which in a sense you need to understand emotions of animals to understand psychologically and mentally what could be wrong with them. And, for GreenEyedGirl that could be easy to understand because of the different positions and situations she has been in with photography and personal life. But, here's where we get more interesting facts about GreenEyedGirl is that she left school with no qualification because she had a little boy....NOW, before you judge look at the images. Personally, she's done better than people that got qualifications. She understands something that most models can't grasp and that's giving the camera what it wants and needs.....And that's a model that will do that extra bit more just to make a astounding impression in  a photograph. But, here's the shocker fact.....GreenEyedGirl was very conscious of her body, but her friend which you'll see in the picture before, done photoshoots before and said to her she should do it. She gave it ago and what do you know GreenEyedGirl's confidence maximize and now enjoys doing modelling and loves her body more for what it is.

Is GreenEyedGirl Showing Us Something More?

In the visual sense, we would have to say yes. She's showing different sides of her mask from sexual, sexy, sassy to the more innocent, playful, child-like side and to have that ray of emotions that can come in an instance is what photographers and even the images themselves need. Because, I notice with GreenEyedGirl is that she's showing us more of what she can do because she challenges herself and more importantly doesn't keep it dry. And, when I say "doesn't keep it dry" I mean in the sense that she won't do something similar again for a very long while, but GreenEyedGirl is one of those models that keeps it fresh, entertaining and above all keeping it appealing to her model status. Meaning, it makes sense why she's doing the certain images that she does. She's not doing a Miley Cyrus! She's doing something simple and the smallest changes she does do makes the biggest impacts in her images.

So, What's The Bottom Line?

The bottom line is going to be a simple one, GreenEyedGirl likes to challenge herself and more importantly she finds it fun and rewarding. Therefore, models don't do it for the money, wealth or riches but to understand themselves more and in a sense GreenEyedGirl gets the biggest reward of being confident with herself, and confident in her body. Which, doesn't happen to most people till their 30s / 40s generations. So, GreenEyeGirl is a head of her time, and we will see what will happen next with her next photography.

What's The Bottom Line presents Which Actors/Actresses Could Play The Live Disney/Pixar Villains?

Which Actors/Actresses Could Play The Live Disney/Pixar Villains?

Introduction

We here in That's The Bottom Line was thinking of all the great actors/actresses that played remarkable Disney villains.....From Glenn Close as Cruella DeVille in 101 Dalmations, Angelina Jolie as Maleficent in Maleficent and Helena Bonham Carter as The Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland to Tim Curry as Long John Silver in Muppets Treasure Island. But, this got us thinking what or more to the point who would we want on our screens? So, we have 10 Disney/Pixar villains and what we believe, would be ideal role for that actor. Therefore, no time to waste and here's our 10! Including, stories involving in the film and why we chose this actor/actress.

1) Jafar from Aladdin played by Ben Kingsley

Let's be honest now, Ben Kingsley actually looks a bit like Jafar and from another film he played a villain called 'The Hood' in Thunderbirds. Ben Kingsley can truly perform wonders and spectacular performance with Jafar, and the fact Jafar is nearer the end the oldest between the other cast for example older than Aladdin/Jasmine and not as old as the Sultan. But, what would the film involve? Personally, we never really knew where Jafar got his sorcery and was watching Family Guy and never noticed they make references to Jafar.....So, this got me thinking....maybe! Just MAYBE! Jafar is a slave. Not, whilst being in the palace but started in the streets just like Aladdin because we never hear Jafar with family or friends, therefore a lone wolf. Am thinking, the Sultan bought Jafar at the slave market and started from the bottom and when Jafar saw Jasmine for the first time he must have her. So, he tried everything until he found a passion for books and stumbled across some magic books about love potions. Personally, we think that's why he is all into power and wanting to own the kingdom and the world to show  Jasmine he is more than what appears. That's The Bottom Line will be doing a separate blog about who else would be in this film! But, we thought Luke Pasqualino as Aladdin, Mila Kunis as Jasmine, Daniel Breaker as Genie, Andy Serkis as Abu, Nick Frost as Iago and John Goodman as the Sultan. Just let that settle in for a second and let's move to the next one.

2) Hades from Hercules played by James Woods

Honestly, for the performance level, the age of Hades and his comedy jokes it just has to be James Woods. Yes, he has already done it but personally we wouldn't decide on anyone else that would look suitable to play Hades. However, the live action film would mainly focus on Hades before Hercules was born, and afterwards. Yes, we know the stories but surely Hades had other things to do? Because, from the Disney film we know that Zeus made Hades in charge of the underworld. BUT, what about before that? Personally, we would find it interesting seeing the transformation like how did Sulley and Mike meet in Monsters Inc and how they became best friends. We could see Hades maybe being the underdog and maybe the Hero at some point! But, that's our idea here.

3) Mad Madam Mim from Sword and the Stone played by Betty White

Now, this was something we didn't think of straight away! At first, we were thinking Kathy Bates but in some way Mad Madam Mim has to seem innocent in some way and vulnerable. So, then we thought about the ageing of Merlin being similar so we have to find an older comical actress.....Betty White. Considering we know from Sword in the Stone, Merlin and Mad Madam Mim knew each other before Arthur flew in....literally. So, maybe Mad Madam Mim is an old lover of Merlin? But, they did duel so maybe it's a relationship went wrong or they both went to wizard school and she was the trouble maker. OR, completely turn the story and show Merlin the trouble maker turned wise and wonderful. Maybe, show Mad Madam Mim's story because we never knew all this answers to questions and personally find it interesting finding out.

4) Dr. Facilier from Princess and the Frog played by Uzo Aduba

NOW, before we say anything Dr. Facilier yes is a male character however....Consider this, you need someone that can go into that voodoo place properly, have that level of charisma, charm, and seduction but then can go into completely crazy, absurd and loony. Uzo Aduba is someone very well known in Orange is the New Black playing Crazy Eyes. But, we decided to change the role simply because we find it more interesting voodoo can mean a lot of things and comes down to supernatural and funky mumble jumble. So, this film would show Dr. Facilier's life and maybe he/she is the hero....being manipulated by his/her friends on the 'other side'. However, we felt Uzo Aduba could give this role some incredible and extraordinary performance of being completely crazy and funk out the character. But, yes it's a different gender but we feel it doesn't really matter because maybe there's a reason for this? Maybe, Dr. Facilier got out of how he lets say 'exit the film' (if you haven't seen it yet). And, when Dr. Facilier comes back he is now female. I mean, they did to Captain Barbossa in Pirates of the Caribbean no one is ever dead! So, something different would really make an audience member think.

5) Madame Medusa from The Rescuers played by Lisa Kudrow

You're either a "YES" or "I don't know" to this one. But, when we were researching and looking into the character of Madame Medusa and who could play her.....Lisa Kudrow no doubt. Why? Well, Lisa Kudrow is most famous for her role in Friends and has just started The Comeback Season 2. Why for Madame Medusa thou? Madame Medusa is a sassy, wannabe famous, rich, popular and greedy woman but the looks on her aren't that great! Her make up slapped on and has a tall figure. Lisa Kudrow could look terrible and truly perform absolute raves on Madame Medusa. Our thoughts is that, the film would be looking into Madame Medusa from the beginning because we never really know what happens to her in the end.....But, would be interesting if in her past life had a lover, just to see how she degraded herself into a spinning black hole.

6) Ursula the Sea Witch from Little Mermaid played by Queen Latifah

Do I really need to explain my reasoning?!?! Queen Latifah is just an awesome singer, actress and she can hit those notes that Ursula the Sea Witch hits! Queen Latifah what made my decision is the fact she's been in Hairspray and Chicago and what those two musicals have in common is that their....up beat....jazzy....and I think the correct word is atmosphere. When you watch Hairspray or Chicago you get the feel of a true performance which I feel is one of the main reasons Queen Latifah would suit Ursula, and Ursula is a dark, seductive, not beautiful but she thinks she's beautiful sea creature. And, considering she wants so many desires would really suit in Queen Latifah's persona. The story line however.....I would keep it to the context of Little Mermaid but make it much more darker for the audience. Having the same atmosphere that you feel when watching the third Pirates of the Caribbean film and having those oceans and under the sea. I think it would look incredible considering the special effects, we could see the 'Under The Sea' song looking purely beautiful to the point of Finding Nemo effects, and then Ursula's dark moments seeing the darkness of the sea would look stunning.

7) Henry J. Waternoose III from Monsters Inc. played by John Noble

Before anyone comments anything, I thought what if Monsters Inc. was live action? It can be done, I mean look at Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars, Labyrinth, and Dark Crystal and even Disney's Muppets Treasure Island but I have to remember we are now in 2015 and most people would think this is a bad idea....Because, Monsters Inc. will stay as a animated series because of the pure magic you feel what Pixar can accomplish, all I know what can be close to a live action is the Monsters Inc. ride. Anyway! Why, did I feel Henry J. Waternoose III should be played by John Noble? Well, if you're unfamiliar by the name from TV series he is in Fringe and Sleepy Hollow. But, his film credits is more interesting as he has been in Lord of the Rings, Risen and The Last Airbender. Plus, he has been in some video game credits as well! But, why do we feel he would make a good Henry J. Waternoose? We have seen him perform in Fringe and Sleepy Hollow and the acting ability he has is quite dark. So, that being said Henry J. Waternoose already needs to be some what oldish, but have that dark mind and can get angry quickly and snap. But, what would the film in tale? WELL, personally we feel this could be an incredible eye opener for the Monster Inc. fans.....What if.....Henry J. Waternoose has a broken heart? When they take Henry J. Waternoose away the agency, Roz interviews him. So, that starts the whole story of him and maybe since of the quite higher class name we go into the first stages of the company. Maybe, he fallen in love with someone that was having this idea that children are the future but in the good way. But, then someone or something happens to Henry J. Waternoose maybe his father tells him a secret, someone dies closest to him (it's Disney Pixar they did it with Up), OR the girl that he fell for was only interested in him to make him shut down the company. So, we see more of Henry J. Waternoose side and in some way we can relate to him. Therefore, the reason he wanted the screams was hiding his true feelings that his heart was broken and to fill that hole was pure hatred for children the opposite of what the girl that got away wanted. Personally, we feel it could work with the correct writers behind it and be more interesting seeing the more 'human/monster' side of Henry J. Waternoose.

8) Charles F. Muntz from Up played by Patrick Stewart

If you haven't seen Up yet, Pixar truly made something wonderful. Charles F. Muntz is the bad guy in the film, he is an inventor, explorer and graves that one species to make him 'top dog' (if you don't understand the reference apologizes). But, who could truly play is well mannered, corrupted, controlling, crazy gentleman. Patrick Stewart. Patrick Stewart is really well known for being Professor Xavier in X-Men, Captain Picard in Star Trek: Next Generation and his voice appearances in American Dad, Family Guy, Robot Chicken and The Simpsons. But, why pick Patrick Stewart.....if you really want to know why, he with the moustache could really play Charles F. Muntz and it's a role more suited to Patrick Stewart as well. We have seen Patrick Stewart truly take leaps in his acting career but seeing him in a live action film of Up would add something to his portfolio. But, would the live action film be the same as the Pixar film? Personally, we feel it would be darker and much more interesting seeing Charles F. Muntz even thou we know most of what he did, we never really saw the dangers and sacrifices he had to go through. It's like Monsters University, you want to see how he became obsess and maybe seeing his flashback when he falls of his life? Because, we never see what happens to Charles F. Muntz so be interesting seeing him turn hero from villain.

9) Lady Tremaine from Cinderella played by Helen Mirren

Lady Tremaine is the Evil Stepmother in Cinderella and we know her being manipulative, wanting the treasures and being treated like royalty. But, who could play a good and dark Lady Tremaine? Helen Mirren. If you're unsure on the name she was in The Queen, Monsters University and Hitchcock. She looks the part, she can portray this very evil person from her past film experience. But, this film we feel would be showing the hard ache Lady Tremaine had to go through. We know that the Father either left or died 'unexpectedly' all the Cinderella stories are different. But, we thought let's see how Lady Tremaine got to this dark place....Maybe, she had this fella once but he cheated on her. Plus, she has got two 'ugly' daughters so where did they come from? It's not from this arrangement it's from another. So, we feel here in That's The Bottom Line we need to see the transition of maybe this loving and caring person to someone that is truly corrupted on greed and power. But, the film....We don't know why but we wanted something Alice in Wonderland Tim Burton style....Personally, we feel that's how Lady Tremaine sees life, very unusual to our eyes and let's be honest it would look stunning and it could have some interesting twists involve. Maybe, it's all the wrong way....The Fairy Godmother is a street performer, Cinderella is a waitress, Ugly Step Sisters is a comedy act and Lady Tremaine is the main singer. Maybe, where this is set is in a theatre/saloon/bar something to really show a difference with the whole concept of Cinderella.

10) Professor Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective played by Johnny Depp

Let's be honest this is a long shot but it's doable considering we have Into The Woods, Alice in Wonderland and even Maleficent we have seen creatures come to life. But, who is Professor Ratigan? Well, before we say anything we feel The Great Mouse Detective is truly an under-rated Disney film, it's basically Sherlock Holmes for the kids. Professor Ratigan is truly a quirky unusual villain. Professor Ratigan, loves power, loves greed, and is very smart to the level of Sherlock Holmes. But, to the better question why Johnny Depp? To be honest, we feel because of Johnny Depp's track record with quirky and very unusual characters he play from Willy Wonka in Charlie in the Chocolate Factory to The Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. We feel Johnny Depp, can add something different of being Professor Ratigan and be unusual seeing him sing in a musical number. But, the appearance of Johnny Depp and the level of acting Johnny Depp can accomplish would truly give Professor Ratigan justice.

So, What's The Bottom Line?

Bottom Line? This is all theory if it ever happens we will be a happy bunny but we feel you should make you're own theories of who would make truly fantastic Disney/Pixar villains. True, Pixar keep with the whole animation because that's what makes Pixar stand out, Disney however like to take the risks of trying out live action films like Maleficent and soon to come Pan!. But, remember anyone can make these theories and if they do come true you know you're going to enjoy the film. And, that's the bottom line.
