What's The Bottom Line About Time?

Time

Introduction

When we talk about time, we do have a generally understanding that time itself is like having you're toast in the morning. Time is our daily routine, it's normal and it's always as far as we understand is moving forward. This blog is actually looking at the concept of time and having a few questions that might let you the reader stop and think for a second.

What Does Time Mean?

Time is a measure in which events can be ordered from the past through the present into the future, and also the measure of durations of events and the intervals between them. Time is often referred to as the fourth dimension, the first three dimensions being the spatial dimensions. This was a general definition, which to what degree do we agree with... Yes, time will be taken through the past, present and leading into the future. Time can measure the durations of events and the intervals between them, so a simple event would be how long it would take to have you're meal. But, that then leads into when you have you're meal? This leads into the next question which will get you're brains thinking is time relevant....Not only to you, but in general.

Is Time Relevant?

To a Lucy (2014) reference which made me start debating is time relevant to us in general. In the film Lucy, there was a reference that when a car accelerates to the point that the car is going so fast it disappears. What does this mean? That matter itself is irrelevant, when we are thinking of numbers, letters, all the things we establish even the very essence of our languages, routines it doesn't matter because as something accelerates eventually it will turn into nothing. So, what makes time so relevant? Here's where the mind blowing part gets in. Everyone has a routine which at some point whether you know it or not, your conditioned to follow time....it's hard not too! You don't believe me? Think of it this way, through school, high school, college and even university and your jobs you have a time schedule to follow. We are conditioned from early stages of our lives to have breakfast in the morning, lunch around noon, dinner in the evening and some people have supper at night. People reading this would just think, well yeah duhh that's just normal from sun coming up to sun going down. But, if we didn't understand when these meals were suppose to happen we would be confused, frustrated and even worried because time keeps society itself in balance of a routine. Some people have even tried breaking there conditional coding in there brains, I wear odd socks simply because when you break that conditioning of having a pair on every day you're not yourself. However, a fantastic example of breaking you're conditioning is when you were at school for a certain lesson you sit where you were placed, then later on when that seating plan breaks you still sit around that area because it's familiar. But, here's when the breaking starts it's simply sit wherever go completely opposite because here is when you start breaking down you're behaviour conditioning and start following you're own way. Yes, society does shun this because we have routines, laws and it would be dangerous to follow a different routine because it's very difference is what scares people. Therefore, time is relevant for our conditioning, routines but above all the balance of human life itself.

When We Debate What Matters, Does Time Always Come On Top?

It truly depends on the person's perspective of life. Some people wear watches because they like to have a grasp of always being on time, and trying to savour the day as it was. When we have this idea of who comes out on top I have in one corner Father Time (time) vs The Grim Reaper (death) vs God Almighty (aka religion) vs Mother Nature (nature) vs The 'Red Monster' Devil (7 deadly sins) and finally vs The Universe Man (everything that starts to finish e.g The Big Bang). So, 6 man, all for all. Starters, Mother Nature and The Red Monster Devil would be out first only because of the idea of mother nature moving forward along side the universe, death and time and the Devil is all speculation we haven't had hard evidence unless you watch South Park. Same, for God really we haven't had any hard evidence it's one of those things that can never be proven. The Devil and God have been around for so long we have that many stories of them who knows what's accurate. For example, God....Egyptians believe there's more than one, is God male or female? We just don't know it's that straight forward and yet God and the Devil are used a lot for comedy value so if something so almighty, all knowing is made fun of wouldn't we understand them more? So, who's left? Father Time, Grim Reaper and The Universe Man. Triple threat....who will win? Well, Grim Reaper has been around since Father Time when a comet or the big bang happened we had death of the universe, death of humanity and the next ice age off course. But, let's just take this into a theory, the Grim Reaper is death itself but who says it stops there? Going back to religion, there's theories that when we die we reincarnate, go into another world, reborn as someone else, or if you had a few pros in you're life you will reincarnate into a better life. So, that taken into consideration....we don't really know does death stop at death or does it re-evaluate itself. Therefore, death is itself is a myth we have all experienced it in some way through films, media, own experiences with loss of family members but we are unsure what happens. So, it's down to two people Universe Man vs Father Time. Now, this is very much own opinion....but for the universe to occur we have the theory that God created the universe in 7 days but let's be theoretical when we say, what if God didn't? For the universe to actually start wouldn't you think God would created a calendar hence why we know he made it in 7 days? Even when the beginning of the whole universe itself we know he made it in 7 days through the Bible. This brings me to my next question, how do we know this? Because of a book? Or, because God intended to start the generation of what we class as times, months, years, days without even thinking. Therefore, we could argue that the Universe Man would win because that's the start of the start. But, am sticking with my guns in saying that Father Time wins because it's the most plausible of the two. Father Time started at the very beginning even when God was created or an unknown being, but far from religion time is always moving forward and it does actually end.... Time ends when we finish a programme but then leads into another event, for example Eastenders is 30 minutes, so tick toc through that time re-loops into something else. So, Father Time wins because the concept is universal and can be into any events from death to weddings to programmes to meals. This could go on and on that Universe Man itself is everything, but I am sure Universe Man wears a watch? Contradict much?

Is Time Immortal?

That leads into what I just said, with programmes and events they eventually end, but somehow it finds a loophole, time can be crafty, can be a theft, can be our savour. We have always been trying to understand how time works. Some people take it for granted, some take it as an opportunity to make the most of it. But, time itself personally will always find a way to revamp itself into any situation that is past, present and future. We will always have time when we are looking into the past history how accurate time can be is determined by how much we understand. This leads to my last question. Is time already dead? Has time revamped itself from the roman numerals of XVI or V comes to my past point of numbers and letters being irrelevant. So, is time itself dead and we just have these watches, times and routines of keeping the illusion of everything itself is chaos, and the illusion is following time and routine before we release that time is inexistence.

So, What's The Bottom Line?

If you got to the end and I didn't bore you! Let's go to the bottom line! Time itself when you look at you're phones, computers, televisions, watches, workplace, restaurants, cafes, airports and the internet time is everywhere. We can't escape to it, so make sure you live as much as possible within the time you have. Because, deep down all my waffling and ramblings could be nothing. But, what if time itself is an illusion and that's the bottom line. Time is our illusion of balance.
